Kingston TN, Capitol For a Day

The small town of Kingston, Tennessee, has a rich history of being the capitol for a day. On August 29th, 1861, the state legislature met in Kingston to discuss the secession of Tennessee from the Union. This made Kingston the Capitol of Tennessee for a day, a unique event in the state's history.
